2.  Do not ever give your credit card details to an unverified website. Never ever, ever buy anything online using your credit card from a site that doesn’t have SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption installed—at the very least. You’ll know if the site has SSL because the URL for the site will start with HTTPS:// (instead of just HTTP://). An icon of a locked padlock will appear, typically in the status bar at the bottom of your web browser, or right next to the URL in the address bar. It depends on your browser. Never, ever give anyone your credit card over email. Ever. How Browsers Verify Website Identities and Protect Against Imposters

  • Tteen gift will never ask for your credit card details. If there is someone claimed as Tteen Gift’s personnel and ask you to provide credit card details. Please do not submit any details, and make report to general@tteengift.com immediately.

3.  Make your payment only via trusted payment gateway.

  • What Exactly is a Payment Gateway?
  • Tteen Gift use Paypal as our payment gateway. Why Paypal is safe to use.
    • For many years people have been using PayPal to accept or make payments. The biggest advantage is that there is no hassle of opening a merchant account. With PayPal’s Website Payment Pro, clients can set-up a merchant account with ease and start accepting online payments. For individual sellers, amateur professionals, small businesses PayPal is a great solution, but for businesses with larger volume of sales, PayPal will turn out to be expensive. It is extremely easy to implement and integrate with your shopping cart and the payments go directly to your account. The month-to-month service also saves merchants from a long term contract. Though it offers a bit less features than other providers, it brings a lot of reliability and security as it is an established player in the field of online payments. And, with quick set-up and hassle-free integration, PayPal Website Payment Pro definitely gets a thumbs-up.

4.  Find out about billing, guarantees and delivery before you buy. Always look for the additional costs and payment details before make any payment.

5.  DO NOT key your details or make payment in a pop out windows or third party linked site, unless you sure that the site is safe.

  • Tteen Gift takes no responsible for any interactive action between you and third party site.

6.  If you are not sure about the safety level of the site, do not make payment. Contact with the company personnel, ask for identity proved document.

7.  Phishing. Always check the website domain address, rather than just believe that what you saw from the website interface. Beware of misspellings or sites using a different top-level domain (.net instead of .com, for example)—those are the oldest tricks in the book. Yes, the sales on these sites might look enticing, but that’s how they trick you into giving up your info.

  • Make sure you are entering the correct website with domain website address www.tteengift.com. If you saw any similar website that looks alike with Tteen Gift site, but with a different website address. Please report to us immediately.

8.  Avoid Public Terminals and Privatize Your Wi-Fi

  • Hopefully we don’t have to tell you it’s a bad idea to use a public computer to make purchases, but we still will. If you do, just remember to log out every time you use a public terminal, even if you were just checking email.
  • If you do decide to go out with the laptop to shop, you’ll need a Wi-Fi connection. Only use the wireless if you access the Web over a virtual private network (VPN) connection.

Shopping Tips

1.  Credit cards tend to offer more protection than debit cards as they don’t directly remove funds from your own bank account. If a transaction goes under investigation or proves to be fraudulent, you may never end out of pocket with a credit card providing your card issuer provides protection.

2.  Never send your credit card details through non-secure online methods such as via email. Such methods will offer little protection.

3.  With first-time purchases, if you are unfamiliar with the site, you may want to test it with an inexpensive purchase to begin with.

4.  If you receive suspicious emails, do not open them or click on any of the links.

5.  Don’t buy from retailers who will not give out their contact details or who do not give you satisfactory responses to your queries.

5.  Keep your bank account details to yourself.

6.  Never allow open-ended credit charges. Always agree on the total that is going to be on your credit card.

7.  If your internet certification process warns you to be careful of a site that might be falsely taking your confidential details, take heed.
